The The Magick Temple is a small space to gather in the round.
A travelling installation to connect and inspire a life of art.
Whether you need a place to chill through movement, connect through art making or relax in stillness, MT is your space to do that.
An intimate place for circle gatherings up to 20 people with cushions, sound healing, and creative materials supplied.
All ages welcome. This will be our 1st time building The Magick Temple and we would love to welcome you with open arms!
The Puzzle Cafe invites Confesters to choose from a menu of puzzles, brain teasers, craft activities and rule-based artwork creation.
Most/all of the puzzles have some kind of mathematical bent, but in general we avoid the word 'mathematics'; it can make people think this activity is not for them, and then they don't get to realise how fun and creative maths is.
Someone may choose just a small entrée, such as a simple tangram puzzle or Mobius strip construction, or those with a greater appetite may choose a more substantial puzzle from the mains section such as the Monty Hall problem, the Rascally Rabbit dilemma, or a mathematical game. A small selection of delicious desserts will be available for those who just want something sweet, such as mathematical jokes and cartoons.
In addition to the menu of options, we would have some special focus sessions such as string art, hexaflexagon construction (where you create a foldable object that’s kind of like the fidget spinner of the topology world) or “Puzzles, Pi, and Chai” where we sit around drinking chai and doing puzzles related to circles.
We have represented White Gums as part of Confest for over 20 years. Our ethos is to show the benefits of collaborative communal living in all its facets, including self-development, caring for the planet, education of self and others, and sharing of skills and abilities.
During Confest, when possible, we like to create 1 or more beautiful workshop spaces for facilitators to use, which are purposely kept immaculate by our volunteers and guests.
We also prepare and share meals with others and encourage them to contribute.
MUSICIANS WANTED!
Join us in the Vibes Village for jamming and live performances, a place where musicians can play together or garner inspiration! Some instruments provided but you are encouraged to bring your own. Put your name down if you want to perform on the stage in the evenings, we can film you if you like and make the footage available for download.
Hope to see you there, enjoy Confest 2024!

Veg Out Village (nee Euro Trash) started as a group of gardeners and artists from Veg Out Community Gardens in St Kilda. Today, our St Kilda group has grown, (along with our Confest babies), with the Village being a haven for swimming, fishing, rope swinging, cooking, fire side comedy, song, guitars, and we share our collective knowledge of Confest happenings and directions to passers by. Veg Out is safe, fun, supportive and helpful.
We offer a Workshop Space by the river nestled behind two ancient trees including the magnificent ring tree. There is the village kitchen, an additional cooking circle, and a single shower hiding amongst the trees.
Nudies Village is a safe and welcoming space for people of all genders to camp or visit where you can experience the nudist and naturist lifestyle of non-sexual communal nudity in a social environment. We seek to encourage positive body image and confidence, self-acceptance of ourselves and respect for other people. Nudity is optional, allowing people to wear clothing so long as they are accepting and respectful of others enjoying the freedom of being nude.
Nudies Village provides two workshop spaces, a communal cooking circle with wash-up areas, a hot tub and hot showers, and a communal cooking/social fire area.
