Ideas for the future please?

Hi, well some of you know me and many do not. A little about me.
To cut a long story short i was voted in as one of the new Directors of DTE. I am still reeling from that shock, as I lack the experiences of the past that some of you have had, and well basically I consider myself to be very much a ConFest Virgin, having only being involved within DTE/ConFest for just over 2 years. I can say without a doubt that both DTE and ConFest are the best thing that has ever happened to me, well apart from meeting my partner and moving to Melbourne from the UK, but you know what I mean. There is nothing like it anywhere else, so I hope that I can play some small part in helping to ensure that the concepts and soul that define ConFest are there for many years to come. I am also very grateful not only to the other Directors for their support but also to my friends such as Michael, who always manages to show me the balance in things that I often fail to see, and you have that great knack of helping me to see clearly. I have told you that before. Your views and experiences are invaluable. I also want to talk about Robin. Previously he and I had several venomous bitch fights on the DTE mail list. But as of late I have completely changed my opinion of him. I think A Human is a very apt name for him, as he always expresses genuine insight, on ways to help move in the right direction. As of late, I found although we do have some different ideas, we do actually have very much more in common with our thoughts and ideas for the future, and I do look forward to catching up with him, and learning some more and getting his views and ideas.
I like to hear and know the views of all the people of ConFest, so I ask of you, what are your thoughts and ideas for ConFest? What do you want to see in the future? What does ConFest need? What should ConFest do? Should we try to educate? Should we look at alternatives? What alternatives? What does alternative mean to you? What do you want out of ConFest? What should ConFest become?
