A naked bike ride is a fantastic idea!
I felt I was the only naturist cyclist (mountain biker) in all of ConFest last Easter! What is wrong with people? The World Naked Bike Ride i.e. in Melbourne would be more popular if it were not for the dodgy weather and ingrained prudishness so prevalent in modern society. Let's set a precendent at ConFest by showing there is nothing wrong with nudity and get in the saddle and ... Ride on! I'd volunteer to lead a ride but people should be prepared with lots of water and puncture repair essentials: around the ConFest site I encountered bindi-eyes that caused quite a few mishaps!!

The World Naked Bike Ride co-ordinators meet once a year at ConFest, and Marte Kinder (the National Co-ordinator) organises the rides at conFest as well as Rob Legg-Bagg.
They are great fun and I'm looking forward to participating in them again this Christmas. _________________ "Fear wraps our bodies in clothing, love allows us to stand naked" - Neale Donald Walsch ("Conversations With God") |

I agree totally with the foregoing. And, let's all hope this ride is a resounding success with many, many participants to make up for the small numbers on Melbourne WNBR days (mostly to the drack conditions, but also Victorian-era laws and prudishness).
